Flexion was founded by Robert Wopat in 1995 to provide strategic staff augmentation services to clients in the public and private sectors and merged in 2006 with Isthmus Group Inc., a consultancy focused on LEAN Product Development, Commercially Hardened Open Source, eCommerce and Internet Marketing.  Isthmus Group Inc. was co-founded and lead by Michael Spude, Dave Hannon, and Scott Hasse. 

In 2010, Ron Holub and Aaron Powell joined the partnership team when Robert Wopat retired. The new partnership team is aggressively growing the company by diversifying the solutions, employee and client bases. In order to achieve our company goals, it became necessary to re-name/re-brand the company to more accurately reflect who we are today. In March 2012, our name was changed to Flexion Inc. Flexion means having the capacity to bend and adapt. Our clients engage with us because they have reached a point in their business where they must adapt (new technologies, new processes, etc) or bend (integration of legacy systems, doing things more efficiently with less funding, etc). Our new tagline is Value Forward, chosen to express what client teams and our team will create in ourpartnership.
